Helping Children with Grief & Loss
This workshop is for teachers, daycare staff, parents, grandparents and those interested in assisting children with children's reactions to loss. This workshop is beneficial for adults who have children in their lives. Participants will learn about the typical stages of grief, when to worry and how to help children express their grief.
Children grieve for many types of loss, for example: divorce, death of a parent, grandparent, classmate, sibling or even a pet. As parents, teachers or family members we want to help them as much as possible through the grieving process. Over the last decade, much research has been done in this area that will assist adults with this very difficult supporting role.
In this one day workshop participants will learn about the following:

- How to explain death to children
